In Baddeck (Just a five Minute Drive From tower) you will find a laundry mat, grocery & liquor store, gas station, excellent choice of restaurants & Cafes, Alexander Graham Bell Museum, live theatre plays every night, library with used book store, wonderful art galleries, souvenir shops, boat tours on the Baddeck Bay and free ferry to Kidston Island Lighthouse with beach & hiking trails. We are 5 minutes from the entrance to The Cabot Trail, the Uisage Ban Waterfalls hike & the Big Spruce Brewery! You will also be just 20 minutes drive to Donelda's Puffin Boat Tour & Iona Highlands Historic Village of Scottish Settlers, Both so darn good! just over an hour drive from an absolute must see - The Fortress of Louisburg National Historic Site.
DIRECTIONS:
Take Exit 9-NINE for Baddeck, NOT EXIT 8 FOR BADDECK .
Next, instead of going into the village of Baddeck , go onto the overpass then continue straight into the country. We are just 2 minutes/4 kms from the Baddeck overpass.
You will then see our sign on your right, # 926, and can pull into the wrap-around driveway. If you come upon a one-way bridge you have just missed it by two driveways.
*****google maps will tell you to take a left much earlier off the highway at The Red Barn Gift Shop onto The Cabot Trail. THIS ROUTE IS NOT REOMENDED. GPS will then take you onto the other end of our Old Margaree Rd. It is less distance but way more time down a secondary road; a long winding bumpy dirt road. Only if you're seeking adventure and have the daylight time is it recommended. Once you hit pavement again, cross the one-way-bridge, we are 3rd driveway on the left- # 926 *****
